Two years ago we did the Southwest Sojourn, with a trip thru the unholy triangle from the Ostrich Festival in Phoenix to the heights and depths of the Grand Canyon with a stopover in Sedona for a visit with a shaman, then on to Las Vegas with side treks to apocalypic Bedrock and the Hoover Dam. It was two weeks of fly and drive, vintage roadside motels, historical lodges, chic hotels and the best AirBnB the town of Chandler, AZ had to offer.
With both of us ready for a major break from the daily grind, we decided a change of scenery would do us good and to take Bill and Eileen up on their offer to use the RV, where they spent the past 8 years or so in parks from Maryland to Florida before settling in to their paradise found in Bradenton, FL.
This time it would be a Southeast Sojourn, flying into Tampa, picking up the 35 ft, 2002 Pace Arrow motorcoach in Bradenton, and clocking 1000 miles in two weeks, with layovers in Pensacola Beach, West Point Lake, GA and Tybee Island, GA before returning to base camp, hitting rewind and falling back into the DC/Annapolis shuffle.
Lance and I are loving tiny house living! I'm pretty sure the RV is bigger then Chestnut Drive. š
And there is something so fun about all the magic cubby holes and storage spots in RV/campers. š
